Today we went to the Itty Bitty Scientist program at SciPort, our local science discovery museum. It's a program they run on Wednesdays during the summer for the toddler/preschool age group. Today's program was "Bitty Builders" - right up C's ally.....we built things using toothpicks, cut up straws, and C's favorite "medium" - CANDY!!! Gummy bears, hot tamales, gumdrops, orange slices, marshmallows, and Mike-n-Ikes made up creations such as a caterpillar, a baby caterpillar, a house with a flagpole, a car, a bridge, etc. You get the idea! C had a great time and we got to eat the creations after we were done building. A came along for the fun, but mostly just napped and hung out in her stroller. She was not too interested in being a Bitty Builder. After playing at SciPort for a little while, we met cousin Shannon and her little one, N, for lunch at Counter Culture - so yummy! Always great to catch up with you both - thanks for a great lunch and great company!
