4 months & growing!

Well...on Friday August 29th, little A was 4 months old! I can't believe it - time is flying by! She is really growing. I thought I'd take the opportunity to give you an update on her "stats", since we had our 4 month check-up on Monday. Also, to put these stats in perspective, I will do a retrospective look at her growth to see how much she has grown in these quick 4 months!

April 29th, 2008 - A joined our family!
Height 18 inches
Weight 6 lbs, 13 ozs

May 13th - 2 week checkup
Height 18.5 inches
Weight 6 lbs, 14 ozs (height & weight were in the 25th percentile)
Head circumference 13.5 inches

June 30th - 2 month checkup
Height 21 inches
Weight 9 lbs, 13 ozs (really put on the lbs here!)
Head circumference 15 inches (her brain was really growing too!!!)

July 31st - 3 month checkup
Height 23.25 inches
Weight 11 lbs, 10 ozs
Head circumference 15 5/8 inches

September 1st - 4 month checkup
Height 24 inches
Weight 12 lbs, 10 ozs
Head circumference 16 inches

A is now in between the 25th & 50th percentile for both height & weight, and @ the 50th percentile for her head size! Her doctor is very pleased with her growth for her size, and says she is doing very well. She is really doing well holding her head up, pushing up on her arms when she's on her stomach, and she is almost rolling over consistently every time. She just sometimes forgets what to do with her arm - it gets in the way when trying to roll over! She is sleeping better most nights but is still not consistently sleeping thru the night yet, but should be soon as she has broken the 12 lb mark now! (we can only hope!) Her reflux seems to be managed well by her medicene, and she is such a happy little baby. Also, the doctor now believes that her eyes may stay that pretty blue color, since they have not turned yet! We are really enjoying having her in our family. C just loves her, and it is fun to see A & C start to interact with each other. When he talks to her, she smiles at him and "coos" to him. It's pretty sweet. She loves her bathtime, her soft pink doll, and her apple toy. Her least favorite time of day seems to be carpool time.
